Our Technology
Tellus Renewables patent pending stabilizer (Tellus Stabilizer Mixture - TSM) promotes intimate mixing of the renewable feedstock to petroleum based diesel and prevents separation. An ASTM D975 finished fuel that contains up to 25% renewable feedstock can be achieved using Tellus' patent pending process of blending polished renewable feedstock, with TSM and petroleum based diesel fuel. An ASTM D396 finished fuel that contains up to 70% renewable feedstock can be achieved using Tellus patent pending process of blending renewable feedstock, Tellus stabilizing mixture, and petroleum based diesel fuel into boiler fuel.
Tellus Renewables patent pending TSM stabilizer is composed of an extensively researched combination of petroleum based products when combined correctly act as a cetane booster, a demulsifier, a cleaning agent, a lubricant, and an anti-gelling agent. Tellus Renewables Diesel (TRD) improves cold flow properties and can be used in similiar climates as no. 2 diesel.

Lubricity
What is lubricity? Lubricity is the measure of the lubricating properties of fuel. Lubricity is measured according to the fuel's ability to:
- -Keep moving parts apart
- -Reduce friction
- -Transfer heat
- -Carry away contaminants & debris
- -Transmit power
- -Protect against wear
- -Prevent corrosion
In a lubricity test conducted by Inspectorate laboratories, Tellus Renewable Fuel was proven to increase lubricity of diesel fuel by over 45%. Increased lubricity reduces scar wear which in turn increases engine life. ULSD no. 2 diesel without Tellus R5 does not meet ASTM D975 standards for lubricity. This will pay huge dividends in fleet operations. On the attached report, compare ULSD baseline fuel lubricity test without Tellus to fuel lubricity tests with R5, R10, R15, R20 and R25 by checking the scar wear numbers. CLICK TO SEE LAB RESULTS
