About Tellus

Tellus Renewable Diesel is next generation fuel technology. We are committed to taking on the world's energy challenges to help create a more sustainable world. Tellus is working toward solutions to the world's transportation and energy crisis by binding renewable vegetable oil to petroleum diesel. Our patent pending process uses a blending agent (Tellus Stabilizer Mixture - TSM) that produces an EPA registered diesel fuel that meets ASTM D975 for motor vehicles and ASTM D396 for boilers.

The primary difference between Tellus Renewable Diesel and biodiesel are the technologies used to make the fuel. Tellus Renewable Diesel is produced using a mixture of vegetable oil and petroleum based diesel. It is chemically treated to produce ASTM D975 diesel ASTM D396 (without hydrothermal treatment) whereas biodiesel is made using a chemical reaction called trans-esterification.

Tellus Renewable Diesel will also meet ASTM D396 quality standard for all petroleum-based boiler fuel. The primary advantages of Tellus Renewable Diesel compared to biodiesel is that it is less expensive to produce, has a higher energy content and has better cold weather performance characteristics.

Tellus Renewable Diesel solves many of the world's environmental challenges by cutting down on harmful CO2 emissions while maintaining engine performance. Tellus finished fuel may be handled similar to petroleum based diesel fuel and may be stored and distributed to existing pipelines.
